Heat stoke is a most dangerous heat-related problem which even lead to death. It occurs mainly due to overheating of body. The body temperature increases rapidly and when it hits more than 40 degree Celsius, the sweat gland fails and the body cannot cool down. This leads to heat stroke and if it is not treated properly at right time then it ends fatal. The signs that indicates the heat stroke are throbbing headache, dizziness, nausea, muscle twitching, unusual behavior such as irritability, confusion, emotional irritation, very high body temperature, red and hot dry skin, quick and strong pulse, hallucinations, and unconsciousness.

Heat stroke is treated as follows: the persons whose temperature is high should be taken to a cool place like shaded area or air-conditioned; plenty of fluids should be take in so that it sweats more, lightweight and loose-fitting clothes should be worn and light colored clothes absorbs less heat than dark colored clothes, protection under sun by wearing hat and sunglasses can be followed, the temperature should be carefully monitored during summer seasons. Once the symptoms are identified it should be treated as soon as possible if not is lead to coma, irreversible brain damage and death. It is safe to follow universal precautions when the environment is seems to too hot. The immediate precaution for treating heat stroke is to put ice on the armpits, groin and neck area and cool as aggressively as possible. Infants, athletes are mainly affected by heat stroke and hence it is very necessary to all precautionary activities to prevent ourselves from being affected by heat stroke.
